Jerry attended Kingdom Faith Church and was owner/operator of J & J Body Shop in Brilliant. He enjoyed spending time with his friends drinking coffee and telling stories at his shop. He liked watching old westerns and restoring vintage cars and trucks.
Mr. Aaron is survived by the love of his life, Jenny Scott and her son, Greg Scott (Wendy) of Moundville, his grandson, Zane Scott, mother-in-law, Lois Gilstrap, brother -in-law, Jody Gilstrap (Allyson) of Birmingham nieces, Anna, Abby Gilstrap and a nephew, Julian Gilstrap, and a host of other relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Oma Lee Aaron, aunts, Pearl Sumner and Hazel Aaron, cousins, Dan Sumner, and James Ingle.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. (service time) with military honors presented. A private burial will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from the Littleville Cemetery near Haleyville.
