DEATH: Died at age 22 of phthisis (pulmonary tuberculosis) being ill one year

OBITUARY INFO: The death of the late Walter J. Murphy, Lyttleton, occurred at his home Feb. 13th, age 22, after an illness of eight months, which he bore with great patience, leaving his wife Agnes P. McAllister, daughter of the late Wm. McAllister, Sunny Corner, and one child, also three sisters and two brothers, as follows: Mrs. Otto Tozer, Mrs. Walter Tozer, Mrs. Hubert McTavish, and Alvin and Leo Murphy, who all resided at Lyttleton. He was a member of the Baptist Church and highly respected by all who knew him, and much missed at home. The service was conducted by Rev. J. McCurdy. The funeral took place from his residence at 2.30 o'clock to the Baptist Cemetery, Lyttleton. The pallbearers were William Mutch, Angus McDonald and Charles Burns, Robert Noudan (sic), Herbert McTavish and Earle McAllister.
