Mrs. Mary Jane (Mayberry) Allen
Died December 28, 1939, aged ninety-one years, nine months, twenty-two days, at her home, 350 Wentworth Avenue, Lowell, Mass. after long illness.
She was born in Casco, Maine, March 6, 1848. Her parents, Potter J. and Phoebe Hodgdon Mayberry, were pioneers of the Advent faith in Casco, and she early embraced this faith, and during her long life held staunchly to it.
She leaves a daughter, Miss Effie B. Allen, of Lowell, a brother, Frederick W. Mayberry of Lynn, Mass. and two sisters, Harriet P. Mayberry of Lynn, Mass. and Ida M. Mayberry, of South Berwick, Maine. Funeral services were held at her home, Rev. Allan B. Hodges, pastor of Haverhill, Mass. A. C. church officiating.
The burial took place in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco, Maine, where the committal service was read by Rev. Asa Johnson, pastor of Kennebunk, Maine, A. C. church.
