BENOIT. Lloyd Benoit Sr., 76, formerly of 50 Roberta Drive, Mlddletown, died Monday (March 11) at the Independence Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Anne (Renkar) Benoit. Born April 17, 1914, in Canton, he was the son of the late Adelard and Delia (Hudon) Benoit. Mr. Benoit was a driver for Kaplan's Furniture, until his retirement In 1979. He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, and a member of the Meriden Police Benevolent Association. He Is survived by a son, Lloyd Benoit Jr. of Middletown; Six brothers; seven sisters; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Geraldine Benoit Beier. The funeral will be Thursday, 9:15 a.m., at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, followed by a mass, 10 a.m., at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today, 7-9 p.m.
