LAKELAND, Fla. - Miss Helen Arrington, 83, of Lakeland, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2004 at the Highlands Lake Center in Lakeland from cancer.
She was born on Jan. 1, 1921 in Goodwill, to the late Robert and Minnie Duncan Arrington. Miss Arrington moved to Lakeland in 1980 from Bluefield, and she was a member of the Crystal Lake Baptist Church in Lakeland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her caregiver of 25 years, Frances Duncan Phillips.
Surviving are caregivers: Sidney Phillips of Lakeland, Reta Phillips Hill of Tallahassee, Fla., Lenora Phillips, Durwood Phillips, Sandy Barnes Hitt all of Lakeland; and numerous relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. Rick Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell where cousins will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 10 till 11 a.m.
