He attended Grubbs Grade School and achieved his GED through the Marines Corps. James was a self employed metal worker. He served his nation in the United States Marine Corps. He married Patricia Ann (Johnson) on December 15, 1999. They celebrated 18 years of marriage before her passing in 2017. James enjoyed fishing and visiting with his family.
James is survived by his sons, Jimmy Adams and wife, Helen of Bentley, OK , Tim Adams and Kim Pedigo of Ben Wheeler, TX; grandchildren, Melissa Adams, James Adams, Elizabeth Adams; great grandchildren, Kodi, Kayla, Michael, Vladimir , Ivan, Riley, Madison, Emiley; great great grandchild, Hazely; sister, Virginia Verni of Reno, NV; brother, Donald Adams and wife Brenda of Talihina, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur James and Edna Lucille (Dawson) Adams; wife, Patricia Ann Adams; sister, Geri Tillman; mother of his children, Darlene Adams.
