Funeral services will be conducted from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Cooks Mill about twelve o'clock on Monday. The body will be moved from the residence at ten o'clock. Rev. G. F. Oliver will have charge of the rites.
Mrs. Seaman was born on September 1,1840, in Adams County, Ohio, and came to this state about sixty-two years ago, settling in North Okaw Township. There she lived continuously until about nine years ago, when they removed to this city.
Mrs. Seaman and her husband were reared on adjoining farms in Adams County, Ohio. They were married at the home of the bride's parents in January, 1859. To this union there were born twelve children, eleven of whom still live, one daughter, Maggie, passed away several years ago.
In addition to the husband and the eleven sons and daughters, there survive two brothers and two sisters. The children are Mrs. Emma Moore, Mattoon; James H. Seaman, Mattoon; Frank A, Seaman, Moultrie county near Arthur; Fred J. Seaman, Hinesboro; Charles Seaman, Douglas county near Kemp; Harry Seaman, living north of the city near Dorans; Mrs. Elizabeth Brannan, Alton; William and Thomas Seaman, twins, the former living at Galton, the latter living north of the city near Dorans; George Seaman, north of the city near Dorans; Mrs. Ward Seaman, north of the city, near Dorans on the old home place. The brothers and sisters surviving are; John Ellison living near Cooks Mill; Mrs. Sue Ellis, Norton, Kan.; Mrs. Rebecca J. Flemimg. Mattoon; and W. Ellison, Lerna.
The body will be placed in the casket on Sunday Morning, giving the friends an opportunity to view the remains between the hours of two o'clock and five o'clock.
