Leonard worked as crane operator for Lift Tech for 40 years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Leonard enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and was a big Nascar fan.
Leonard is survived by six children, Leonard "Butch" (Deborah) Kaffenberger, Jr., Theresa Hanson, James (Patti) Kaffenberger, Robert (Sheila) Merrill, Randy (Deanna) Merrill and Tammy (Sal) Merrill, a sister Freda (Warren) Evans, 21 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna (Nunamaker), sons, David and Michael Kaffenberger, two sisters, Kathryn Sirris and Mary Ellen Reed and a brother Frederick Kaffenberger.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering on February 9, 2019 at 12:00pm at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel
