Lynn is the official family historian. He is not gone yet and doesn't plan to be for a while. At least I hope not.

Update for Lynn, sadly Lynn passed away September 15, 2021. He was same age as his father.

James Lynn Parham, 80, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

Lynn was a chemist for the Army Missile Command for 30 years and later worked as an Army contractor at MESA Associates, Digital Fusion Solutions, and I3.

Lynn was his family's historian and authored two books documenting his research: "An Alabama Rose Garden" for his mother Mildred Rose Parham, and "Pleasant Mangum and All His Kin" for his father, Kenon McCoy Parham's family. He was a graduate and Co-Valdictorian of East Limestone High School (1958) and received a BS degree in Chemistry from Athens College (1961). He also attended the University of Mississippi graduate school (1961-62).

Lynn loved to travel, and he and his wife Ann traveled extensively to all 50 states, Europe, Africa, and Central and South America. He even once flew above the Arctic Circle, which he considered to be one of the highlights from his travels.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; two daughters, Kathy Lynn Parham (Mark Woodard) and Karen Ann Parham (Russell Nida); one son, James Lynn Parham, Jr. (Jacklyn); seven grandchildren, Justin Alan Brown, Sara Lynn Scharber, Erin Jalisa Parham, Adam Thompson, Parker Thompson, Whitney Bailey, and Wesley Bailey; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Lynn Scharber; and one sister, Jaxie Kay Hargrave.
