Catherine M. "Katy" Smits, 82, Green Bay, WI, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007. She was born on Feb. 10, 1925, to John and Flora (Vickman) Van Loo.

On Nov. 25, 1945, she married William Bruss who preceded her in death.
She then married John Van Larrhoven who preceded her in death.
Her third husband, Theodore Smits, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by four children and their spouses: Diana Sell; Norman Bruss; Charles and Cynthia Bruss; Linda and Thomas Bielefeldt;
nine grandchildren: Steve (Amy) Sell, Connie Sell, Robert (Anne) Sell, Dana Lowe, Tara Tank, Beth (Steve) Scarson, Becky Bruss, Lisa (Patrick) Joyce, Erin Rose;
18 great-grandchildren;
sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Don Collard.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Wallace Sell; two sisters: Lena Hogseth and Bernice Huntington; two brothers: John and Henry Van Loo.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Funeral Service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Deacon Robert Nooker officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
