Linton - Edith M. Abercrombie, 84, Linton, died at 9:20 a.m. Saturday in Greene County General Hospital. She was born Aug. 10, 1899 in Vicksburg, Ind. to Elmer and Carrie Akers Rhodes. Her husband, Grover C. Abercrombie, died in 1955. Survivors include two brothers, Paul Rhodes, Slidell, La., and Curtis Rhodes, Neranja, Fla., and two grandchildren. She was a member of Linton Church of Christ. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday in Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home, with Brother Waldo Oar officiating. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday.
