Anne Elizabeth Arnold was born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, on May 25, 1935, the daughter of Simon Jude and Teresa F. Prantl Arnold. She was baptized in Sacred Heart Church in Jeannette on June 9, 1935.

Anne entered the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1955 and made her Final Vows on August 11, 1963. With gifts of compassion and exactness, Sr. Anne was a noted educator for almost 40 years. Those years were spent in the Pittsburgh Diocesan schools, Remedial Reading programs, and as an Adjunct Professor of Developmental Studies at the Community College of Allegheny County. She also ministered generously for almost 20 years as a Pastoral Minister at St. Kieran in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh and at St. Basil in the Carrick neighborhood of the South Hills of Pittsburgh. She earned Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees from Duquesne University. After her more formal ministerial commitments, Sr. Anne continued to communicate with many people from her past, offering them much support and encouragement.

At the age of 86, Sr. Anne (formerly Sr. Jane Evelyn) Arnold, CDP, went to her eternal reward on July 25, 2021.

Sr. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Simon Jude Arnold and Teresa Prantl Arnold, and her siblings: Fr. Roger Arnold, SVD, and John Arnold. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Antoinette, and the Sisters of Divine Providence and their Associates.

Arrangements were by Anthony G. Staab Funeral Home. Family and friends were invited to the Mother of Divine Providence Chapel at Providence Heights, 9000 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, PA 15101 for a special Prayer Service on Wednesday, July 28, at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass was celebrated in the Chapel on Thursday, July 29, at 4:00 p.m. Sister donated her body to science; burial will take place at Sisters of Divine Providence Cemetery at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Sisters of Divine Providence, 9000 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, PA 15101.
