Roy Branson, 80, of Maud, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at his home.

He was born July 17, 1941 to P.F. and Juanita (Richardson) Branson in rural Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

Roy was raised in the Tecumseh area and attended Harjo Schools.

He married Glenda Hatler on February 29, 1964 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Roy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. E-5 from November 18, 1958 to February 3, 1962 when he was honorably discharged.

He was a maintenance engineer and jack of all trades. He retired from Borden's Dairy and Pott. County District 3 Barn.

Roy was a member and attended St. Louis Church of Christ and member of the Tecumseh American Legion.

He enjoyed hunting, operating heavy equipment, fixing anything and everything and taking care of his cows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, P.F. and Juanita Branson; sister, Virginia Bussey; and brothers, Charles Branson and Jim Branson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Glenda Branson of the home; 3 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, James and Darletta Hinds, Randall and Tammy Branson and Brian and Mary Branson, all of Maud, OK; 5 grandchildren; brother, Richard Branson of Kansas; and other extended family and friends.
