She worked for many years in accounting and tax preparation. She was preceded in death by her father, Nickie Dwain Smith; paternal grandparents, Harry and Lizzie Smith; and maternal grandfather, Harold Thomas. Surviving are her parents, Columbus and Bridgett Thomas Smith Dewitt of Bluffton; daughters, Mary Caitlyn Stanfill of Bluffton and Morgan Elizabeth Stanfill of Walterboro; grandson, Donovan Jabrell Sanders of Walterboro; sister, Jamie Utsey Hunt and husband, Duncan of Ridgeland; nephew, Colton Duncan Hunt of Ridgeland; and maternal grandmother, Mary Thomas of Ruffin.
