Jim and Sharon resided in Gilmer, TX at the time of her passing. They previously resided in College Station, TX and moved to Iola, TX after the children had graduated from high school. Together they built the house in Iola.
Sharon received a Bachelor's degree in English from Texas A&M University 1996 and worked many years at Texas A&M University, before working and retiring as a paralegal.
Sharon had a passion for making everything beautiful around her. She loved to teach people how to do things from scrapbooking to plumbing for a house. She was a do-it-yourself kind of person. There was nothing that she wouldn't learn or couldn't teach. She had a passion for taking in stray animals and loving them as her own.
Note from author: Sharon was my best friend of thirty years. We met for an interview and she hired me to work for her at Texas A&M University, Facilities Planning and Construction in 1992. We graduated TAMU in 1996 and were issued our Aggie rings by her mother-in-law, Marguerite Lindholm, in 1995. We promptly went to Red Lobster for lunch to celebrate. Her husband, Jim, was very kind to put up with us two girl's for all those telephone conversations over the years. She was my only "sister". Born ten years and ten days apart to different families but inseparable by love.
Rest In Peace, Sharon Ann. We love you!
