"Jacob P. Prescott, 89, of 407 N. Mount Joy St., Elizabethtown, died Monday at 5:30 a.m. at the Baily Nursing and Convalescent Home, Elizabethtown where he was a guest for the past week. He was born in Elizabethtown R1, the son of the late John and ___Kohr Prescott. He was the husband of the late Mabel Jacks Prescott. He had served as a rural mail carrier in Bainbridge for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1948. He was a member of the United Zion Church of Elizabethtown, and a lifelong member of the Bainbridge Fire Co. He is survived by a son, Walter J. of Elizabethtown, with whom he resided. He also had two brothers: Harry of Royalton, Pa., and Frank of Penryn, Pa.; 7 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren."
