Mary Louise Shadowens departed this life on August 2, 2021 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mary was born on July 25, 1955 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life on September 25, 1971 and spent 49 years making and enjoying memories together.

Mary is survived by her husband Michael Shadowens, her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Lori Shadowens, her son and daughter-in-law Marty and Becky Shadowens, grandchildren Blake and Bailey Shadowens, Lexy and Daniel Mefford, Marcus Shadowens and Tyler Norfleet, Brooke and Garrett O'Hara, Sergio and Jessica Shadowens, great-grandchildren Bryar Shadowens, Cace O'Hara, Drew Mefford, Boone Shadowens, Cash O'Hara, Miley Shadowens and Amelia Shadowens, sister and brother-in-law John and Linda Surmont, sister Joyce Rongey, sister Jan Ashford, brother Eddie and sister-in-law Tasha Rongey all of Kiefer, brother-in-law Bob Atkins of Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her mother Elva Lou Rongey, father Ira Edward Rongey, her brother-in-law Donnie Ashford, her sister Sharon Atkins and niece Kristen Hudson.

Mary lived in and loved her hometown of Kiefer her entire life. She was a member of Kiefer Christian Church her whole life. She graduated from Kiefer High School in 1973. She was the biggest fan at all the football and basketball games, she loved supporting the Kiefer Trojans in anything they did. Mary prided herself in her career with the Postal Service for 15 years and enjoyed visiting with each person who came in. Mary had the kindest heart and could lift your spirits, always, with her kind words and beautiful smile. She had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Mary never met a stranger, if you knew Mary you were automatically family.

Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at First Christian Church in Sapulpa, with interment in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Friday, August 6th. Green Hill Funeral Home
