Tribute: Spencer Randall Ervin was born to Gary and Sheila (Helus) Ervin in Greeley. He was a strong, athletic kid who loved to play baseball and football, and he had more than enough energy for it all. He was a joker but always had a big smile on his face. He was outgoing and friendly and liked to encourage others. Spencer had a gift for making friends. He enjoyed helping his mother with her daycare service, treating the babies that came into his house as if they were his own brothers and sisters. He, his father and his brothers loved to go to a different high school game every week. He was protective of his little sister – when she got upset, he was the first person she would run to. He was an active member of Christ Community Church.
