She was born in Vernon, the daughter of Chauncey and Amaret Phelps Burleigh. At the age of 11 she accompanied her parents to Warsaw to live. Several years later she returned to this village. She had lived in this vicinity for more than 30 years.
On Nov. 23, 1915, she was married to Thomas Candedo, and the couple went to live in Lairdsville. He died a few years later.
She was married on Mar. 5, 1925, to James V. Comstock, Vernon, who died in 1929.
Mrs. Comstock attended the Presbyterian Church.
She leaves three cousins, Miss Mabel Phelps, New Haven, Conn.; Mrs. D. Ray Baker, Rome, and A. Leslie Burleigh, this village.
The funeral will be at 2 p. m. tomorrow from the Alger Funeral Home, the Rev. W. J. A. Graham, Verona, officiating. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.
