The former Amalia Kramer, she was born July 6, 1902, in Schaefer, Russia, a daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine Schmidt Kramer. She came to Sheboygan with her parents in 1909 and attended Trinity Lutheran School.
On Jan. 28, 1922, she and Henry Richter of Sheboygan were married at Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Richter died Nov. 1, 1970.
Mrs. Richter worked at Vollrath Co. for over 45 years, retiring in 1962. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid Society and Leisure League, the Turner Auxiliary, Senior Citizens Bowling League and Friendly Visitors. She was a volunteer and day manager at the Bethesda Thrift Store.
Surviving are two sons, Robert of Wauwatosa and Harold, Watertown; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Leffin, Mrs. Marie Niesing and Mrs. Frieda Felten, all of Sheboygan, and one brother, John Kramer, Sheboygan.
She was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Church, with the Rev. Lawrence Schmidt, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday at the church from noon until the time of services.
