Caroline C Holt born 5 Mar 1853 in Rosefield, Peoria county Illinois to Servetus and Jane (King) Holt. Carrie and her husband, Thomas J Smith had one son, Byron Edgar Smith born 16 Jan 1883 in Iowa and died in March 1974 in Baker Oregon. Carrie's mother, Jane, died 3 March 1859 and is buried in the Cottonwood cemetery, Rosefield, Peoria County Illinois. Servetus moved to Kansas in 1885 with his second wife Phebe (King) (younger sister of Jane) and their eleven children. Servetus died 3 Dec 1897 in Hoyt Kansas and is buried in the Hoyt cemetery.
