Obituary from Deseret News (Salt Lake City, UT) - Friday, June 5, 1953:

Funeral services will be held Saturday noon for Clyde Arther (Sonny) Parry, 24, who was killed Wednesday in a car-truck collision. Services will be conducted in the Salt Lake Sixteenth Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 121 N. 5th West, but Gus Dyer of East Riverside Stake.


Mr. Parry was born December 21, 1928 in Salt Lake City, a son of Clyde and Opal Wilson Parry. He married Joyce Allen, who was killed in 1948 in an automobile accident.

On February 21, 1953 he married Shirley Ann Gordon in Elko, Nevada.


Besides his widow, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Opal Moore; his stepfather, Orson Moore; a stepson, Michael Parry; a brother, Frank P. Parry; and two grandparents, Mrs. Arthur Parry and Mrs. Clara Turner, all of Salt Lake City.


Burial will be in the veterans' plot of the Salt Lake City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 2. 130979093
