DAVID GEIGER
A former resident of Sunbury, died at the Mercy Hospital Sunday, November 2, 1930, of a complication of diseases. Mr. Geiger had been employed in the silk mills at Sunbury for a number of years but following his retirement had been residing with his several children. He was admitted to the hospital from the home of a daughter, Mrs. M. S. Raup of 507 East Atlantic Avenue.
He was born at Northumberland, January 25, 1852.
Surviving were there sons and three daughters, William Geiger and Mrs. D. G. Hess of Lewistown, E. S. Geiger of Sunbury, Reverend Charles D. Geiger of Cobleskill, New York, Mrs. William Knouse and Mrs. M. S. Raup of Altoona; one brother and one sister, C. H. Geiger and Mrs. Sarah Pegg of Easton.
Mr. Geiger was a member of the Evangelical Church.
Short funeral services were held at the Roher and Mark Funeral Home then the body was taken on the Lehigh Express to Sunbury where further services were held.
Interment was made in West Side Cemetery at Sunbury.
