Kathleen Hunt Brannan passed over into her heavenly home August 28, 2010 from Atwood Personal Care Home, Kosciusko, MS. Services were held in Memphis, TN, on August 31st with Rev. Steve Wright officiating. Kathleen was laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery beside her loving husband Frank W. Brannan. Kathleen was a joy to those around her. She spread love and laughter and will be missed by all who knew her. She never lost her keen sense of humor or her sharp wit and was a favorite of the nieces, nephews and their families. She was affectionately known as "Tom" by family and friends since childhood. She was born September 21, 1916 in Choctaw County, MS to the late Homer and Pearla Whitmire Hunt. She graduated from Weir High School in 1937. She worked for the American Finishing Company in Memphis prior to her marriage to Frank W. Brannan. Kathleen and Frank resided in White Haven, TN and shared a love of trains, travel and barbeque. She moved to Columbus, MS in 1995 and to Weir, MS in 2000. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, W. D. Hunt, O. L. Hunt, and Clinton Hunt and her sisters, Lois Black and Vera Goodyear. She is survived by her sister, Thelma Turnipseed of Columbus; stepsons, Frank "Butch" Brannan of Port Orchard, WA and Jack Brannan of Fair, Missouri; four nieces, two nephews, five great nieces, five great nephews, three great-great nieces, four greatgreat nephews, three great-great-great nephews and one great-great-great niece. The family thanks Gilbert Home Heath, Atwood Personal Care Home and Quality Care Hospice for their loving care of Kathleen in her last days.
