Services for Mr. William L. "Dub" Shelton, 50, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, August 16, 2021, at Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Shelton passed away August 10, 2021, in Canton. He was born September 30, 1970, in Mesquite. Dub spent most of his life in the Dallas and Kaufman area before moving to Grand Saline four years ago. He loved Dr. Pepper and was known to enjoy a 30 pack on some days! He enjoyed tinkering and could fix most anything, especially small engines. Dub was also known to render aid to anyone stranded on the side of the road.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Bonnie Martin Shelton; and sister, Louis Raenell Bilbery.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Shelton of Grand Saline; three sons, Justin Taylor Shelton and wife Gabriella of Richmond, Thomas Jones of Grand Saline, and Willis Norris and wife Kelly of Grandview; five daughters, Amber Shelton and husband Kaiosky Dixon of Tyler, Brittany Raenell Shelton of Whitehouse, Iona Jones and husband Brian Meroney of Grand Saline, Brenda Bowline and husband Junior of Tulsa, OK, and Lisa Wilson and husband Dennis of Tulsa, OK; twenty-two grandchildren including Lexi Rae Shelton Pierce, Peyton Lynn Jones, and Kayson Zyair Dixon; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives & friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Sunday, August 15, 2021, at the funeral home.
