Thursday, July 31, 2008 Cecil Lorene Chamberlain, 85, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at National HealthCare in Kennett. Born May 3, 1923, in Koshkong, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Tom and Ada Hawkins Ellison. She married Estel Chamberlain, who preceded her in death in 1972. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Pauline Chamberlain Thomas; three brothers, Henry, Ed and Gene Ellison and one sister, Cora Ball. Survivors include two sons, Johnny Chamberlain, of Paragould, Ark., and Amos Chamberlain, of Mansfield, Mo.; one daughter, Ada Chamberlain, of Kennett; two sisters, Mary Ford, of Monette, Ark., and Bessie Cook, of Pocahontas, Ark.; 17 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Thursday, July 31, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Arbyrd, Mo., with the Rev. Vernon Purser officiating. Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery at Cardwell, Mo. Pallbearers were Richard, Cody and John Chamberlain, Emery Adcock, John Collins, Nick Weldon, Tony Wilson, John Collins and Brandon Perkins.
