Mark A. Hardwick, 65 of Plainfield, passed away August 12, 2021. He was born on November 19, 1955 in Indianapolis, to the late Carl and Connie (Butler) Hardwick. Mark married Janice Bell on October 01, 1977. He was the owner of Mobile Mix Concrete, worked for Modified Concrete, Groninger Excavating and retired from Rays Trash Service in 2019. Mark was very active in Plainfield youth programs, coaching various sports and served as the President of the Babe Ruth league for many years. In his latter years, Mark enjoyed refereeing IHSAA basketball games with many friends. He adored spending time and traveling with family and friends, fishing on the Lake Erie, coaching his granddaughters, and beaching at his second home in Madeira Beach, Florida. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Janice Hardwick of Plainfield; son, Ben Hardwick (Emily); brothers, Gary and Scott Hardwick; and 2 granddaughters, Lily and Laney Hardwick. His parents and daughter, Abigail Hardwick, preceded him in death.
