Heart Attack Proves Fatal to Woman
Mrs. William Ludden Dies at Home Wednesday Morning
Services on Saturday
Mrs. William Ludden, 61, for thirty years a resident near Madison, passed away suddenly at her home three miles south of here early Wednesday morning of heart disease.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the St. Leonard's church with Rev. Father Brass officiating. Interment will be made in St. Leonard's cemetery.
Up and about her work as usual and apparently enjoying her usual good health on the night prior to her death, Mrs. Ludden was stricken suddenly with a heart attack.
Anna Surmeyer was born at Meppen, Hanover, Germany, February 1, 1871. She came to Neola, Iowa in 1894 and was married to William Ludden at this place February 26, 1895. The family came to Madison in 1902. Along with her husband, William, there are three sons, John near St. Bernard, Leo and Henry at home; four daughters, Sister Constance, a teacher at Center Line, Michigan, Mrs. Mary Dohman near St. Bernard, Mrs. Margaret Helmberger and Mrs. Clara Borer, Madison and a brother, Herman Surmeyer of Woodburn, Oregon.
