On last Friday, May 8, at her home in Dixon, occurred the death of Mrs. Marie Thede, wife of Peter Thede, after a three day’s illness from heart disease.
The deceased was 75 years of age, and was born in Schleswig-Holstein. She came to America in 1858, settling first in Rock Island, and then moving to Dixon in this county.
There survive, beside the husband, four children, three sons and a daughter: Peter Thede of St. Louis, John Thede and Wm. Thede of Dixon, Ia., and Mrs. Charles Painter of Davenport.
The funeral was held at Dixon last Monday, with interment in the Dixon cemetery, Rev. Zinck of Long Grove, officiating.
