"Hildrege E.L. (Criger) Kerr, 94, 5729 S. 900 W., West Point, died at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 1998 in Country Care Nursing Center, Williamsport. She had been ill for the past three weeks. Born in Tippecanoe County July 14, 1903, she was the daughter of George and Carrie Marks Criger. She married Earl L. Kerr in Lafayette in 1921 who who passed away in 1974.

She had lived all of her life near West Point. She had attended West Point school. She was a homemaker. During World War II she worked at ALCOA in Lafayette. In her earlier life she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She was a member of the West Point Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughters Norma Lucille Davis, Odell, Georgia Viola Hercamp, Seymour; sons Robert Kerr, Canyon Lake; Calif., Thomas E. Kerr, Richard G. "Pete" Kerr and Charles Edward Kerr, all of West Point, Harry Irvin Kerr, Lafayette; 32 grandchildren; 63 greatgrandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. Scot Shelburne officiating. Burial was in Marks Cemetery, near West Point. Contributions can be made to the West Point Baptist Church." - Fountain County Neighbor, May 5, 1998
