Dona M. Ananson, of Chatham Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2021 at the Chatham Hills Center. She was 97. Born in Stirling, NJ, Dona lived there most of her life until moving to Chatham 37 years ago. She was employed by Polakoff, Brohers & Leen, PA as an administrative secretary and also worked for the State of New Jersey. Dona loved to read and take daily walks around Chatham and was always happy to help those in need. Dona was fortunate, that later in her life, she was cared for by compassionate and wonderful caregivers at Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center, where she has resided for the past eight years. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Emily Ananson; her brother, Richard and her sister, Norma. A memorial gathering will be held at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Chatham on Tuesday, August 17 from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. An interment of her ashes will follow at the Long Hill Cemetery, Stirling.
