Mrs. Judy Shedd Beck, age 73, of Hawkinsville, Georgia died on August 11, 2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Broad Street Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Waters, Rev. Blake Westbrook and Rev. Jody Branch officiating. Visitation will be from 6p.m. to 8p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home. Burial will be at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Abbeville, Georgia.
Judy was born on January 15, 1948 in Macon, Georgia to the late Otis P. Hand and Jewell Miller Hand. Mrs. Beck was retired from Hawkinsville High School, where she was employed for many years as a secretary and bookkeeper. She was a devoted member of the Hawkinsville Big Red Booster Club for over 40 years and also was a member of the Peach County Football Super 30 Club. Mrs. Judy was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church and member of the Faith Sunday School Class. Those who preceded her in death include her parents, Otis P. Hand and Jewell Miller Hand; grandson, Toby Dowdy and husband, Ruben L. Shedd.
Those left to forever cherish her memory include her husband, Rudolph Foy Beck of Hawkinsville, Georgia; sons, Lee (Alicia) Campbell, Chad (Amanda) Campbell, Dennis (Tara) Shedd, Randolph Beck and Alan C. Beck; daughters, Denisa Shedd, Teresa Shedd Preast and Wendy (Jody) Branch; grandchildren, Kelsey C. Hamby, Witt Campbell, Candler Campbell, Mimi Campbell, Andrew Cliett, Madelyn Cliett, Gracin Shedd, Maggie Shedd, Molly Shedd, Trenton Dowdy, Charity Vaughn, Raymond Beck, Taylor Beck, Chase Beck, Darrien Moncrief and Dakota Moncrief. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Jules Vaughn, Jesup Vaughn, Ty Dowdy and Jed Dowdy.
