Anita 'Alease' Templeton-Hudson, 87, of North Garden, the matriarch of the Templeton family and Korner restaurant, passed peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, August 16, 2021 at Hospice of the Piedmont surrounded by her sons. Alease was born on August 25, 1933 in Charlottesville to the late Curtis G. Gentry and the late Sylvia J. Gentry. In addition to her parents, Alease was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis G. Gentry and her first husband and father of her five sons, Bennie C. Templeton, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving and devoted husband of twenty-one years, Richard 'Frank' Hudson; five sons, Bennie C. Templeton, Jr. (Linda) of Ruckersville, Curtis 'Martin' Templeton of North Garden, Wallace K. Templeton (Robin) of Troy, Phillip L. Templeton (Phyllis) of Charlottesville, and Patrick 'Clay' Templeton (Lori) of Hickory, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Shelly McDaniel (Greg) of North Garden and Lynn Omohundro (Gary) of North Garden; ten grandchildren, Meaghan Upman (Steve) of Crozet, Jessica Barbour (Shaun) of Troy, Cassie Templeton of Ruckersville, Courtney Templeton (Mike) of Ruckersville, Stephen Templeton (Hannah) of Charlottesville, Meredith Templeton (Shaun) of Charlottesville, Justin Templeton of Charlottesville, Blair Templeton of Hampton Roads, Seth McDaniel (Becky) of Palmyra, and Larissa Rivera of Charlottesville; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at both Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital Cornell 2 and Hospice of the Piedmont for their gentle guidance and unwavering compassion during this difficult time.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery.
