Ronald Leroy Brunk, 73, of Ottumwa, died at 1:33 a.m. July 30, 2020 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
He was born April 14, 1947 in Ottumwa to Herbert L. and Avis Stirts Brunk. He married Veronica K. Martin December 25, 1969 and they later divorced.
A graduate of Washington High School, Ron drove a truck all of his life, most recently for Gary Mitterer and Stephen Rouquet.
Ron loved race cars-building race cars in his youth, and watching races in his later years. He loved to travel, enjoyed water parks and theme parks, and going on cruises.
Surviving is his daughter, Micah (Matthew) Sheheen of Clermont, FL; 4 grandchildren, Sean Michael, Katelin, Madison and Athena; his companion, Margaret Griffiths and her 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Phillip.
His body has been cremated.
Graveside memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 5th at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
