"Mrs. Emma Mae Edgell, 75, Kansas City in Clay County, died Wednesday at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Edgell was born in Leavenworth and lived in this area most of her life. She leaves her husband, Everett Edgell of the home; two sons, Donald M. Edgell of Pittsburg, Mo., and James M. Edgell of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Jean Blackburn of Kansas City; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Mae Cannon of Kansas City and Mrs. Nellie Marie Grover of Virginia; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Newcomer White Chapel; burial in East Slope Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, October 24, 1985
