Delmas Esley "Del" Becker Sr., 93, of Imperial, formerly of Herculaneum, died April 26, 2018, at Festus Manor Nursing Center. Mr. Becker was a retired machinist and mechanical troubleshooter with Doe Run in Herculaneum and a member of Victory Church in Pevely. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in North Africa and France, and was a member of Amvets Post 42 in Herculaneum. He was born Aug. 28, 1924, in Crystal City, the son of the late Ethel S. ( Jones) Marlow and Thomas Becker.

He is survived by his wife: Lorraine (Erickson) Becker; two children: Faye (Gary) Bourisaw of Ste. Genevieve and Delmas "Bud" (Lorene) Becker Jr. of Herculaneum, a stepdaughter: Shirley (David) Strom of St. Louis; a sister: Elinore (the late Mancle) Reynolds of Springfield; 12 grandchildren: Jimmy (Hope Hulsey) Niemann, Tiffany (Ted) Catron, Terry (Jennifer) Bourisaw, Kathy (Terry Pashia) Nixon, Freeda (Bobby) Venz, Tracey Ballard, Karen I. Ballard, Jason Becker, Renee (Keith) Overstreet, Christopher (Jacky) Becker, Kathryn Strom and Jeremy Strom; 21 great-grandchildren: Nikita (James) Schilly, Natasha Nixon, James Niemann Jr., Terri Diane (Ryan) Friedmeyer, Shae O'Brien, Jacob Venz, Julia Venz, Joshua (Michelle) Venz, Mitchel McKenzie, Brandon McKenzie, Candice Gorse, Wade Catron, Brittany Brown, Kristin Becker, Jason Becker Jr., Austin Becker, Tessa Becker, Zachery (Ashley) Livengood, Lauren (Tim) Fessler, Ryan Wagner and Adrianna Overstreet; 10 great-great-grandchildren: Bodie Friedmeyer, Leelyn Mattison, Neusek Brown, Aliza Brown, Rory Venz, Mason Schilly, Landon Nixon, Ryland Bailey, Alex Livengood and Samuel Livengood; and a son-in-law: Joe Ballard of Crystal City.

He was preceded in death by his first wife: Freeda (Moore) Becker; his second wife: Mary Ann (Martin) Becker; his stepfather: Edmond Marlow; two children: Susan Ballard and James E. Becker; one grandchild: Joseph K. "Jodi" Ballard Jr.; and one great-grandchild: Rylie Wagner.

A funeral service was held April 30 at Victory Church in Pevely, officiated by Pastors Terry House and Randy Starkey. Burial with full military honors was in the Herculaneum City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Victory Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
