Don Firmin Logan1937 - 2021
Our beloved Don Firmin Logan, 84 of Argyle passed away Wednesday morning, August 11, 2021 at the PAM Rehabilitation Hospital in Allen. Don was born in Garfield, New Mexico to George Washington Logan and Jeannie Effie Bertram Logan on April 12, 1937. He graduated high school from Garfield, NM and proceeded to serve overseas in the US army. Don married the love of his life, Patricia (Pat) Logan, on June 9, 1962 in Pampa, TX. Don graduated from West Texas A&M (formerly West Texas State) before he and Pat moved to El Paso, Texas in 1970, where they built a life and raised two beautiful daughters.

After retiring from the El Paso Natural Gas Company, the family moved to Argyle, Texas in 1995, where he became a grandpa to four beautiful grandchildren. He was passionate about his family. He was so proud of his grandkids and whether it was school, work, or sports, he never missing an opportunity to support and attended every event or game.

Don was loved by everyone who knew him. He had a gentle spirit and mentored many over the years through his life and love of sports. The family regularly heard from friends, old and new, that Don was "the kindest man they had ever met." He had a positive outlook on life and a great sense of humor. He taught Sunday School for years and loved others well. His greatest impact, outside of his family, was likely the mentoring of his students through Bible Study & sports. Don loved the game of basketball and coached countless teens over the years.

He is survived by 2 daughters and son-in-law - Belinda Logan of Prosper, Tammy and husband Paul Tubbs of Argyle and 4 grandchildren - Logan, Grayson, Morgan and Lauren. Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife Pat and 2 brothers - Kenneth Logan and Horace Paul Logan. He was dearly loved by his nieces, nephews, as well as others in the extended family.

Viewing will be held on Saturday 8/28 at 9:30 at Thousand Hills Church in Corinth with the Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 10:30. Pastor Ben DeBoef will be officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. Everyone that loved Don is welcomed.
