Eddie Martin Adcock, 78, of Nebo passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at Baptist Health Madisonville. He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a lieutenant colonel, having served two tours in Southeast Asia. He was a recent inductee into the Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame and was a Kentucky Colonel.

After retiring from service, he had a career in banking. He served for several years on the Hopkins County Conservation Board. He was an active member and deacon of Dalton Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed working around his farm and garden.

Mr. Adcock was preceded in death by his parents, George and Louise Adcock; and one brother, Forrest Adcock.

Mr. Adcock is survived by his wife, Marsha [Kiiken]; and their children, Jeff (Chrystal) Adcock and Jill (John) Dame, all of Nebo. He also is survived by three grandchildren, Nicholas Adcock, Alexandra Adcock and Samantha Vick; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Melton Funeral Home in Providence with Brother Dennis Mayfield officiating.

Interment will follow with full military honors at Dalton Cemetery in Dalton. Visitation for friends and family will be after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
