Patricia Kay Pritchett, age 85, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born on March 15, 1936 in Bonne Terre, Mo., daughter of Ellis Albert and Ruth (Bayless) Moon.

Pat grew-up near Bonne Terre and was a 1955 graduate of Boone Terre High School. It was during her high school years that she met the love of her life, Leroy T. Pritchett, and they were married on September 10, 1955 in Desloge, Mo.

The family loaded-up the vehicle and moved the mobile home from Arnold, Mo. to Jefferson City in 1960. Shortly thereafter, Pat began her 24-year career as a Sales Manager at Sears and Roebuck. Pat was one of the original employees when the store relocated from downtown to the Dix Road location. Originally, Pat was one of the ladies who took orders via phone. Later, when the store relocated to Capital Mall Pat was one of the Sales Managers on the "retail floor."

Pat possessed an incredibly strong faith and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Irwin Sunday School Class and cherished the relationships she made through her involvement.

Pat was very creative and enjoyed scrapbooking, embroidery, quilt-making, and counted cross stitch. Since 2008 Pat has gifted hundreds of quilts to family and friends. She was also an avid traveler and had the opportunity to travel to all fifty states. She treasured the times she was able to spend with her granddaughters including the opportunity to spend time with them daily after school. If her granddaughters had an activity or event, Pat was in attendance to show her support.

Pat will be remembered for her faith in God, her caring nature, her profound love of family and boundless sense of humor.

Pat is survived by: two sons, Michael Pritchett (Kathy) of Oracle, Az., and Thom Pritchett of Jefferson City, Mo.; their much-loved Sophie, two granddaughters, Samantha Pritchett and Jennifer Pritchett; their mother Tracey Pritchett and four siblings, Mary Warden of DeSoto, Mo., Norma Buschmann of Union, Mo., Debbie Bunch (Bill) of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Kathy Ferguson (Bruce) of Desloge, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 36 years, Leroy; two brothers, Wendell Moon and Michael Moon; one sister, Margaret Wansing; two brothers-in-law, Walter Warden and Ronnie Buschmann; and her beloved dog, Janie Pritchett.

A private family service was conducted at First Baptist Church with the Reverend Rod Maples officiating. Graveside services and interment were held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church, 301 E. Capitol Avenue, Jefferson City, Mo., 65101

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary.
