1985 Mar 19 Tue p.8 CASAR – Edgar Nollie Allen,66,died Monday at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Cleveland Mills and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Charles and Belle Hutchen Allen. Surviving are four sons,Mitchell,Stuart and David Allen of Casar and Danny Allen of Polkville;two brothers,Horace Allen of Slater,S.C.,and John Allen of Ellenboro;three sisters, Cola Smawley of Republic,Md.,Mattie Toney of Ellenboro and Edith Allen of Marion;14 grandchildren;and three great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.,at Corinth Baptist Church by the Rev.Cecil Buff. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of David Allen,Corinth Church Road,Casar,and will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Stamey Funeral Home.
