John Walter Lehmann of Yukon, Oklahoma
April 9, 1935 - August 19, 2021

John Walter Lehmann was born April 09, 1935 to Herman and Helen (Entz) Lehmann on their family farm near Greenfield, OK. He passed away peacefully on August 19, 2021 at Spanish Cove in Yukon, OK.

John attended school in Greenfield, OK graduating from Greenfield High School in 1953. He then went to Southwestern University in Weatherford, OK, transferring to Oklahoma A & M College, which became Oklahoma State University, in Stillwater, OK. He graduated in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Upon graduation he went to work for Cities Service Gas Company. John went thru several mergers of the company, retiring after 32 years from The Williams Company of Tulsa, OK. John was active over the years in the Oklahoma City Trails Association and as a Professional Engineer. He had a great affinity for motorcycles and enjoyed both street and off road riding throughout his entire life.

In retirement, John was active in the Greenfield Alumni Association assisting in the creation of the Greenfield Memorial in Watonga, OK.

John was baptized and raised in the First Mennonite Church of Geary, OK and later joined Epworth Methodist Church of Oklahoma City, OK. He met his future wife, Celia Ann Eggner, there and married her on November 5, 1961. John and Celia almost achieved 60 years of marriage.

John is survived by his wife, Celia Ann; daughter, Katherine June Lehmann and son, John Michael Lehmann, all of Yukon, OK and close friend, JJ Steward of Luther, OK. He is also survived by cousins and a host of loving friends and neighbors.

Viewing will be held 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the funeral home. Services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021, in the Chapel of Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon, OK at 1:00 pm, with cousins Steve Entz & Sam Stucky officiating. Burial will be held at 4:00 p.m., at the Geary Cemetery, Geary, OK.
