Thomas Wolferd Bollinger, 73, of West Lincoln Ave., Emmitsburg, Md., died Thursday, June 30, at the Gettysburg Hospital. Born Dec. 2, 1914 in Emmitsburg were he was a lifelong resident.
Son of the late Theodore and Fannie Jackson Bollinger. Surviving is his wife, Jane Long Bollinger; three children: F. Jane Nolan of Thurmont; Thomas Theodore Bollinger of Emmitsburg; and Mrs. Bruce Gigeous, Emmitsburg. Eight grandchildren, one great grandson. One sister; Mrs. Jane Gingell, Emmitsburg. He was a member of Eilias Lutheran Church of Emmitsburg. Former town commissioner serving two full terms, a total of six years.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Skiles Funeral Home in Emmitsburg, with his pastor the Rev. W. Ronald Fearer officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call today at the funeral home.
