She was born July 9, 1939 in Tuscola, Illinois, the daughter of the late Floyd and Etta Belle (Bassett) McGuire. She married Harold L. Boes November 12, 1961 at the First Christian Church in Paris and he survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Rick (Julie) Boes of Oakland and Bryan (Jill) Boes of Franklin, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Ashley Carson (Mike Thomas) of Clinton, Indiana, Ryan (Kensie) Boes of Hindsboro, Illinois, Austin Boes of Oakland, Mariah Boes (Geoff Hamm) of Nashville, Tennessee, Sierra Boes of Los Angeles, California, and Avery Boes of Longmont, Colorado; four great grandchildren, Cameron and Caden Carson and Sophie and Olivia Thomas, all of Clinton, Indiana; and a sister-in-law Sue (Jerry) Williams of Cayuga, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Rose Marie Tucker; a brother Jesse Gaudard; and a brother-in-law Richard Boes.
Mrs. Boes was a member of the former Salsbury Church in Charleston. She attended Beauty College and was a beautician for several years. She also had been an aid in the Physical Therapy Department of Sarah Bush Hospital. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family.

At her request, no public services are planned. Interment will be private at a later date. Templeton Funeral Home in Paris is in charge of the arrangements.
