He was born on September 19, 1926 to Issac Homer and Sarah Luvenia (Preston) Judd in Culleoka. Leon married Neoma Janell Jordan on January 1, 1944 in Culleoka and they were married for 69 years before she passed in 2013. Leon worked for Kraft Foods for many years. He also worked construction, farmed, and operated the Culleoka Water Supply.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Kay Fort of Princeton, Texas; son, Terry Lynn Judd and wife, Barbara of Lucas, Texas; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Leon was preceded in death by his wife, Janell Judd; brothers, Porter and J.S. Judd; sister, Oleta Phennel, and great grandson Preston Land.
