MATTHEWS- In Victoria, B.C., on August 31, 1968, Mrs. Josephine Mary Matthews, aged 70 years, born in Ontario, and a resident of Victoria for the past twenty years, late residence 1417 Douglas Street. Predeceased by her husband Michael Dennis Matthews in 1947. She leaves her daughters, Mrs. O. (May) Hetterbig, Sechelt, B.C., Mrs. B. (Eileen) Moore, Victoria, B.C., and Mrs. A. (Lucy) McMahan, Prince George, B.C.; her sons, Patrick, Prince George, B.C., Michael, New Westminster, B.C., and Leonard, Saskatchewan; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Service will be held in the Sands Mortuary Limited 'Memorial Chapel of Chimes,' on Thursday, September 5, 1968, at 3:00 p.m. Interment in the Royal Oak Burial Park.
