Grace E. Scott, 94, longtime resident of Washington and Morgan Counties, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2007, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO.
She was born January 25, 1913, near Rago, CO to Oscar T. & Lois (England) Evans. Due to her Mother's failing health, Grace stayed home when she was a young teenager to care for her younger siblings.
On December 27, 1933, Grace married Ralph J. Scott in Sterling, CO. After farming for several years, the Scott's moved to Fort Morgan where Grace helped her husband operate the Allis Chalmer Tractor Agency. In 1942 the Scott's moved to Kremmling, CO. In 1945, the Scott's came back to farm near Gary, CO. In 1950 they moved to Brush where they owned and operated the Ralph J. Scott Electric Company. She enjoyed working with her husband. She was a member of Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include 1 son, Claire Scott and his wife Nan, of Greeley, CO; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Scott of Eaton, CO, Douglas Scott, and his wife Jennifer, of Colorado Springs, CO; and Craig Scott, and his wife, Jennifer, of Evans, CO; and 6 great grandchildren, Ashley Scott of Midland, TX, Curtis, Amber, and Easten Scott of Evans, CO, and Jordan and Aidan Scott of Colorado Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons, Merlyn, and Lyle; 8 brothers & sisters, and her parents.
A funeral service will be held Friday, November 30, 2007, at 1:30 PM at the United Methodist Church, 1701 Edmunds Street in Brush.
Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery
