David P. Lucero passed away peacefully on November 23, 2007. Born on December 11, 1920, he served honorably in the US Army during World War II. As a devoted husband and father he retired from Burdick & Burdick. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Martha M. Larkin and his siblings, Albert Lucero, Jose Lucero, Anita Reyes and Herlinda Maesse. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maria J. Lucero, son; Edward D. Lucero, son in law; Phillip Larkin, siblings; Margarita Murrillo, Carlos Lucero, and Irene Casarez, grandchildren; Christina Burrull Reyes & Mario Luis Burrull, great grandchildren; Krista & Gabriel Reyes, Luisa Fernanda & Mateo Burrull. Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2007 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina. Vigil service will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 30, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church. Interment will be in Fort Bliss National Cemetery. May he rest with the angels in heaven.
