Died from Creutzfeld-Jacob disease. From diagnosis to death her side of the family was totally unsupportive and did nothing to help and everything they could to hinder and cause trouble. They tried but failed to eliminate her husband's income which was her only means of support during this time. Those who made our lives miserable were her sister Tina Gilbert, her sister Jan Rushing and her mother Oleta Phennel.

Her husband and her mother-in-law took care of her exclusively. Meanwhile her family slandered her caregivers and caused much heartache and made her care way more difficult and less effective. A perfect example of what NOT to do in the case of a catastrophic illness.
