Carl B. "Banjo" Voorhees, 77, of 108 E. Jackson St., died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1992, at his home. He was found dead in his garage from an apparent self-inflicted carbon monoxide poisoning.
Born June 6, 1915, in Smithville to Bruce B. and Edna Parr Voorhees, he married Margie Bartlett on June 23, 1956, in Bushnell. She survives.
One brother preceded him in death.
He worked for Peoria Cartage Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1969, and later worked at Illinois Bell for 11 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Winnebago Club.
Graveside services will be at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview. There will be no visitation, and cremation will be accorded.
