J. Louis Bauman, 76, a lifetime resident of OKC, went to be with his Lord on Nov. 25, 2007. He was born April 13, 1931 to Elmer Louis & Faye Bauman. After honorably serving his country in the US Air Force, he worked as truck driver and later a supervisor for Wilson Foods. Louis dedicated his life to his wife, Margie Ann and their sons, Randy & Larry. He was raised and baptized in Kentucky Ave. Baptist Church. After marrying Margie Ann Pierce in 1950, he became a member of Penn Ave. UMC and later Asbury UMC. In his spare time, Louis bought, repaired and resold slightly wrecked cars. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie Ann; brother, Lee; and brother-in-law, Carl Dean Hudson. He leaves cherished memories with his sons, Randy Bauman & wife Kim Heinze of OKC and Larry Bauman & wife Ileana of Mustang, OK and their girls, Anna & Alexandra; sister, Loraine Hudson of OKC; close family friend, Wendy Tompkins & husband Greg; and many nieces and nephews. The family is particularly grateful to Louis's God-sent caregiver, Verna Johnson. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or the Oklahoma County Hospice. Services to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Thurs., Nov. 29, 2007, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1320 SW 38th St. in OKC, with burial to follow at Memorial Park.
